Cannot backup because iPhone cannot be identified

Anyone else having this issue when you connect the iphone 5 to itunes?

I'd try turning the phone off and on and possibly restarting your computer.

Mac or PC?

Could be a software conflict with other programs you have installed. I had to disable my Anti Virus when I had this problem.
