How long do you have to exchange an iphone 5?

My wifes iphone 5 is acting funnny. Often times she is getting no cell service, while my iphone 5 is. imessage goes from green to blue and back and forth, while i have no issues. This is all cell signal, not on wifi. She is also getting texts from "unknown" and the message has no content. I guess i will just schedule a genius appointment and see what they say.

We bought the phones about 2 weeks ago. I just want to exchange it for a new one i guess. Thoughts?

You have 30 days to return for full refund. After that you will get a refurb for the final 11 months. So you can go in now and get your money back or a new phone, not a refurb. Also when you are there and get the new phone, I would recommend getting Apple Care+ warranty for it. You can also get that on your phone too if you have owned it less than 30 days.

You can always get it replaced for a refurb and see if the issue is fixed or return it and get a new one.

Once it is replaced with a refurb you can not return it for a refund.
