Happy Birthday iTunes

Itunes turns 12 and with this ars article we get to reminisce on how its grown.

I remember and used its predecessor, apple basically bought the app and the creator bringing it in house for its own app and called it iTunes

Fun times! Love the memory lane UI tour.
Before iTunes, I used Panic's Audion. I found it slicker than SoundJam. Remember when you had the limited version and the full, paid version? Now iTunes itself is free, but it sells us more than a software company could ever hope to make off of a music player.
