Shipping Built To Order purchase
I ordered a BTO Mac Pro which arrived damaged via UPS so I sent back.
On the second try used fed ex overnight. The box arrived without punctures but is pretty well beat up. Apple ships the Mac Pro in the box as is, not even a fragile sticker on it. Is it not possible to get a custom configured product from Apple delivered without any shipping wounds? B |

Considering how much a mac pro cost I'd expect them to put a bit more effort in the wrapping than just the original box

Ouch - I would call Apple on this one.

I've never ever received any of my Macs in just their own box. Every one has come in a heavy brown padded box Call Apple I'm sure they will want to know that packing has been removed, or was absent when shipped.

Mac Pro does not ship in a brown box.

I did, they said the box as is is sufficient protection.
It turns out the machine has not a scratch on it and runs fine. Next time I am buying something from whatever they have in stock at the physical store. Less stress, plus same day shipping! B |
