I fully expect the saints to reemerge as contenders. bounty scandal behind them and they will be playing with a chip on their shoulders. Just like the packers they need defensive help.

Really? the season just ended, lets nap for a bit. I won't care about football until August at least. And if the Yankees are in the World series, November.

I hope we (SF 49ers) still keep QB Alex Smith just in case things don't work out with Kap. It's still too early to tell and as many non-Niner fans know by now, he's pretty green and it may take awhile to see how he gels over the course of at least one full season.
I don't know if a few bad decisions he made makes him prone to choking or if he's still just learning. If he stays, he won't be able to make a long term commitment with just his fast legs. He needs to develop better communications with other receivers and not just play Crabtree or scramble and go for big yards. Michael Vick did that OK with Atlanta with one good receiver and using a fast scramble as Plan B when he was younger but after years and inevitable injuries, a slight downturn in speed won't make that formula work very well in the NFL. |

My Jets have some serious work to do, the salary cap is in shambles, no QB, draft position wont be good enough to get an impact player, there are trade talks involving our best player..... I think the team really needs to get down to business, fly under the radar, fix the personel issues and maybe in 2 years or so they can be competitive. The problem is that "rebuild" is a bad word around these parts.

Gronk just got offered $3.75 million dollars to star in Bibi Jones's porn comeback video. I can't link to the article per forum rules but I'm sure you can find it on google. hahaha
this offseason is going to be hilarious. can't wait to hear all the Gronk haters come out of the wood work. |

I want to say go Seahawks but they lost their defensive coordinator to the head coaching job at Jacksonville so I'm not sure how the Seahawks are going to have a great defense like they did last year.

he's awesome. beast on the field and living the dream off it.
The fun police don't like it but most of them are just jealous. Until it actually affects his on field performance, which it clearly hasn't (the dude is a beast), he can do what he wants. |

They need to just suck it up and start doing the necessary things to be competitive in 2015. Quote:
He'll have to deal with people questioning his lifestyle if he has any dip in production or more freak injuries though, believe it. As for the Patriots, we need a tough safety, a stretch-the-field receiver, and more pass rush. And obviously cornerback if Talib leaves. I hope they re-sign Welker. I'm excited about next year, outside of QB the Patriots are a very young team. If anything, we could use a couple of wily veterans to maybe get us over the hump.

At least with a shared stadium it will be closer to me on both counts and be brand new. Oakland was thinking of doing extensive work on the Davis section of the Oakland stadium but instead they should put it down on Santa Clara and we could have a dual black and red stadium with a guaranteed hungry crowd for sports. Candlestick will probably go into concerts and Oakland has plenty of current uses outside of the Raiders right now. I think after dot.bomb in early 2000s we could use a boost over here in the valley. There are so many crossover fans like me and the south bay area is pretty underrepresented in sports considering the money and population that is down here. |

from a fiscal perspective, it actually makes a LOT of sense for them to share a stadium if they are both getting new ones anyway. They would save a TON of money and the communities would save a ton too. It makes sense but we will see what the owners decide to do.
I think Kaepernick is going to be a great player and I'm not sure the 9ers want to keep AG on as such an expensive backup. They also probably want to give the guy a chance to start on another team. But considering the type of player kaep is he could feasibly go down with an injury on one of those runs.

I agreed that there are more problems with the Jets than Ryan. However, I think that he is also part of the problem and not the solution.

I disagree, I mean look at what he was able to do his first 2 seasons as a head coach. AFC championship 2 years in a row with Sanchez at QB....... These past two years the Jets probably had the worse group of players at the skill positions. They lost their respected veterans and had pretty bad drafts. I think the media hungry owner, and some bad GM decisions have put the Jets in the position they are. Given a decent team Rex can get some results. There was a time not too long ago when a lot players said they would love to play for the Jets because of Ryan. Of course losing changes that In a hurry.

In 4 years as the head coach he has taken them to 2 AFC championship games. Tannenbaum screwed the team up with bad contracts, bad free agent signings, bad trades, and a few bad drafts. The lack of a consistent run game these past 2 seasons has also had a horrible effect on the offense. I don't think it's a coincidence that Sanchez has regressed during this time. I'm already considering 2013 a lost season. A year to fix up the cap issues and take advantage of the draft, maybe buy a year to find another QB and see how we look in 2014. Rex deserves to see it through, though. You just can't erase the first 2 years because he was given sh** to coach these past 2. Last edited by Moyank24; Feb 9, 2013 at 10:04 PM. |
