Deleted Mail app on one user account. How do I get it back?

Deleted the Mail app from one of the user accounts from my MacBook Pro, running Mac OS X 10.6.8. It is still available and running in the other user accounts.

Is it possible to restore the app from the other account?

If you deleted the app from /Applications then its gone for everyone. You removed it from the drive. You either need to restore it from a backup or reinstall the OS.
 
Can I backup from the other account and then add it to my account? Sorry not the best when it comes to these things!
 
Where did you remove it - from the dock or from the /Applications folder.

if its from the folder then the application has been physically removed from the computer. It may still be around though if you did not clean out the trash. Look there and drag it back to /Applications if its in the trash
 
I deleted it from the Applications folder and emptied the trash.

But I can still use it on the other account...

That is strange. Does that mean, going to the Applications folder on that user account via Finder > CMD+SHIFT+A Mail does not show up, but when you login to another account, Mail is still there when going to Finder > CMD+SHIFT+A?
 
I just updated with SecUpd2012-002Snow.dmg and it restored it somehow.

No idea why that worked but it did! Thanks for your help all.
