MBA 2013 13 10.8.5 sound problem

I've just updated my new Haswell MBA to the 10.8.5 Mountain Lion and found a serious issue with sounds.
The thing is either you use the internal speakers or headphones or anything else plugged with the 3.5 jack occur some kind of rasp or short frequency creaking sound which is really annoying

the funny thing is that when I use chrome to play movie or sound the creaking effect is more noticeable but when i use itunes it occurs quite rare but still irritating.

someone has this problem?
 
sorry dude, but it's not a software issue.

It seems like something is wrong with your headphone jack, and that's it is plain coincidence it's acting up the same time you may have updated.

That, or perhaps both your speakers and headphones have faulty cables that acting up at the same time (very less likely).
 
I can't pull up the thread, but a while back a new Haswell MBA owner complained of the exact same issue, and was able to fix it with a PRAM reset. Give it a shot and see if things improve.
 
I have the same 2013 MBA you do on 10.8.5 and do not have this issue. Sounds like you have a hardware issue you will need to take in to Apple to get fixed.
 
Seems like I found what the problem was caused by.
When i use safari everything ok but once i installed adobe flash and tried Opera the problem appears again


Probably adobe flash doesn't work properly with sounds or smith?

if it was a hardware issue it would appear anytime, right?

The issue really appears when use flash

VLC works perfect

Yes... if it is only happening with Opera/Flash running that seems like the culprit.
 
just found it appears in windows under parallels

have no thoughts what the problem should be

is there any way to downgrade to 10.8.4?

Without a backup, you won't be able to get back. Even if you do a fresh install through recovery, Apple's servers will give you a full install of 10.8.5.

Let's try a couple things to maybe narrow it down a bit.

Try making a new account and see if it still happens in that account.

Try a safe mode boot by holding the shift key while booting. That loads a stripped system with no extra drivers and runs none of the login items.

Try installing the combo update.

Tried everything just doesn't help

The thing is it's really difficult for me to get the MBA to Apple cause there's no service center in my country

PS Safari VlC and any other program in spite of parallels and chrome works perfect

just doesn't make sense :(
 
Hey I've just installed windows 8.1 through boot camp

both in IE and chrome and any other app sounds work perfect

Does it mean that under Mac it's just a software issue?

I mean it is not about hardware, right?

i hope with mavericks sounds would work as good as in windows
