Don't flame me for this guys but is'nt it a little crappy that the new iMac greatly outperforms the TiBook, anyway and whats with the dog-**** video card in that thing (PBG4)when will we see 32 or 64 with a good vid processor whats with ATI?

Have you used one of the new TiBooks??? I have a 500MHz rev A model (using it right now) and it is great. The only time that it has ANY video problems is with Quake 3. Unreal Tournament runs very smooth , which I like better anyway.
I would like to have the mobile Radeon in my TiBook, but that is not a large enough issue. When I am ready to replace this TiBook in two years, who knows what will be in the new ones.

so besides speed, which is better imac g4 or powerbook g4? I got the 667 model about 3 months ago or a month before the combo drive, i have a bad memory on dates and stuff but i was pissed about the combo drive i wanted it on the pbg4 before it came out since ibook had it, but with other stuff, which is better? and when do you think that ibook will take over the curent powerbooks

I don't know what would make anyone think the 500 and 600 MHz G3's in the iBook would be faster than the 550 and 667 MHz G4's--especially running OS X. It's just not so. The TiBook is a G4. The iBook is a G3. The bus on the TiBook is significantly faster. The screen on the TiBook is larger. I don't think there's any question which is better. The iBook might be a better value, though. It's a great entry-level portable.
I also bought the 667 about 3 months ago and was p*ssed when I found out the combo drives were released--it was also what I wanted. I figure it's worth the $300 to upgrade, though.

sweet, my burner broke a long time ago, looks like ill have to wait longer for the digital cma than i though, oh well
