Do both. Stay up till midnight (or go to bed earlier and set your alarm for 11:55PM), and if not selling yet, then try again at 3AM.
LOL, might be doing the same.. But then what happens if it doesn't end up starting until 3? Do you have to work early in the morning?
BTW, how did you chat with them? Wouldn't mind chatting with them myself to see if any of them will say 12:01am PT

Ok, the Apple rep is still insisting about 12:01 ET, he says other carriers may be different
exactly. It is a preorder date of 9/12 and is based on the west coast. That would not be 9/12. It is definitely 3:01 am EST/ 12:01am PST.
Didn't even think of that, it would be 9/11 and not 9/12 for the West Coast. Definitely not happening.
