When can we expect 10.10.1? Half an hour after upgrading and i already found 3 bugs. I'm so dissapointed in apple. I'd prefer they wait another month or two to polish the GM before releasing it.

There has been 0 news regarding 10.10.1 AFAIK. The only way we could see if its in internal testing is to see the MacRumors site traffic.

There has never been a perfect 10.x.0 release. Yosemite is stable compared to some others I have used. Particularly Snow Leopard, that caused data loss.

Even I'm waiting for it after seeing the very active bug thread.

I haven't had any problems with the upgrade to Yosemite. I am running a mid 2010 iMac i3. It's just a new learning curve on some things but I'm finding all of my answers on this forum.

Oh god, i hope they don´t take too long.. It´s not unusable, but just really annoying to use Yosemite so far. Finder problems, UI inconsistencies, codesign problems...

This is the first time I've held off upgrading my main machine and only applied the update to my laptop. I have found it rather buggy on my laptop and may wait for .1 to install it on my iMac.

Example bugs:
  • Mac App Store launches but won't load. Force quit. Repeated attempts. Finally worked after a reboot.
  • Finder windows stranded by lack of radio buttons. Must relaunch finder to close window.
  • Went to restart. No response. Went to shut down instead no response. Finally had to hard power off to shut down and power back up.
  • Safari kicking out Flash plug-in. No surprise here but it worked much better on the Public Beta. Could be more of a flash issue but Safari is also hanging a lot.
  • Stacks showing as empty boxes before updating with icons.
  • Excessive RAM usage and seems to slow the system down.

For those wanting to know system specs. I ran 10.10 Public Beta from a USB external so this is not an install over the beta. I upgraded the internal Mavericks OS to Yosemite on a 2012 MacBook Air running 8GB RAM.

It sounds like you upgraded Mavericks to Yosemite, and not a clean install, this might be the cause of your problems, problems that many if not most everyone else is not experiencing.

If developers waited until there was zero bugs before releasing then no software would ever be released.

OP has been asked twice now for what bugs he is referring to and yet no response. Get with it OP, what 3 bugs ?

Were you a Windows user in the past by any chance?

Wow. An unusual list, to say the least. Seems like a clean install is warranted. You may have an incompatible application or utility installed, or one that has gotten corrupted in some way.

The last time I did a clean install was for MacOS 8 iirc, but it's been some time so I could be wrong. :D

What's the over-under on the number of days after the release of OSX 10.10 that 10.10.1 will come out? Anyone have a connection in Vegas?

10.10 feels just as buggy and sluggish as 10.7 did. Very disappointed with it! It's just fully packed with bugs, slow and battery is draining like crazy on my 2014 MBA. I regret that I was so quick at updating, and going back to 10.9 just too much hassle.

10.8 and 10.9 felt very stable in comparison to this version.

Some of the bugs I've run into during my short 24 hour run:
- Sometimes refuses to connect to Time Capsule (latest version), reboot needed
- Safari sluggish and nowhere near as responsive as on 10.9
- Battery draining very fast
- Very annoying delays with external Trackpad (bluetooth delay problem?)
- MBA gets a lot hotter than with 10.9
- Call forwarding to iOS 8 not working properly (continues calling when call answered in iPhone, have to manually dismiss the call on computer even after calls are ended on iPhone)
- AirDrop feels buggy
- Continuity works sometimes and sometimes not so much

OP never returned after being asked twice about which bugs he was experiencing. There for he probably doesn't have any, just ranting about something he caused and figured out later.

Now I know. Read all of the other posts he made.

So 10.10 has no bugs. When did they fix them?

10.10 Bug thread
https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/1740402/

OP is the one that stated he had 3 bugs, and never explained what they were even after being asked. He never returned either, suggesting to me he really did not have any that would need a suggestion from us. Maybe OP just wanted to vent something that he thought was a bug, but wasn't. Unknown since he didn't care enough to stay around for help....

His last activity was on the 21st. Today is the 23rd. Hit and run

lol.

Go back through the years... 10.0, 10.1, 10.2 etc.

the 10.x.0 release is always buggy.

10.10.1 will probably be out in December.

Maybe, but he wasn't trolling when he said 10.10 is buggy. Here are top 3 from my growing list:

Yosemite bugs:
- Mouse cursor lags heavily when Accessibility Zoomed: not related to Bluetooth, PRAM/NVRAM (https://discussions.apple.com/thread/6624221)

- All-day events don’t show up in Notification Center (I mean seriously, it just defies logic!)

- Menubar icons flash due to redraw on changing Spaces (https://discussions.apple.com/thread/6624155)

Generically speaking, over time the system starts slowing down and everything ranging from switching Desktops or invoking Mission Control to opening apps or even logging out becomes borderline unbearably slow, given specially all of this used to be perfect in Mavericks consistently.

This is one a clean install copy of Yosemite.

10.8 and 10.9 felt very stable in comparison to this version.

10.10 talks to other devices in completely new, interactive ways though, for such new function introduction I'm quite impressed at the quality of the release TBH.

Clean install here. I have none of your problems.
