Thanks for your input on the Qode. Two questions for you:
1) I notice that the Qode only has two viewing angles while in landscape mode versus the ClamCase or Zagg Slim Book which use a hinge that allows for a wide variety of angles. Do you find yourself wishing the Qode allowed for more viewing angles?
2) How often do you notice typos/typing issues caused by the keyboard? I love my Slim Book but a few keys don't seem to register regularly unless pressed more firmly than the rest of them.
Yes, two viewing angles. This a non issue for me and two are adequate. The Logitech slim keyboard case I owned had a slot for the iPad, so it was locked into a single angle.
I owned a Zagg case which had a hinge and I liked it a lot. I originally thought that would be something I'd miss with the Qode but I don't. By not having the hinge, the iPad is in a self contained case that is magnetically connected to the keyboard, so I can just take it off and not have the keyboard attached for when I use it as a Harmony remote, pictures/video, etc.
They keys register perfectly. I used it extensively yesterday and I didn't have a single typo and key not registering. The keys are such good quality that they register every keypress. When I was using the iPad by itself and posting something, I'd spend 5 times the amount of time to do it by backspacing and correcting incorrect letters.
I use the iPad and Qode on my lap in my living room recliner and I can also use it on my desk and it feels just like a computer.
The 2 best things about it for me are the detachable case and the quality of the keys.
