Reimer macrumors regular Original poster Sep 25, 2006 #4 okay anyone want to explain another part of Activity Monitor, specifically the Memory usage part. I've got 1GB of ram installed. Activity Monitor currently shows 834mb under "Used". What do "Wired", "Active", and "Inactive" indicate?

dsnort macrumors 68000 Sep 25, 2006 #8 I had exactly this same issue. It's coreduo temp. Those processes that pop up and go away are the app accessing the core to read the temp, or something like that. Close coreduo temp, and it will stop.
