How do they know these things? At any rate the stores are down. Exciting stuff but i bet this thread gets more negatives than positives.
Happy to be made to eat my words!!

A nice update for the MacBooks, I wonder if there are any currency conversion changes for the UK like the MBPs

Have the physical dimensions changed from the older Macbook? the prnews article mentions more than once that it's '1 inch thin'' - is this something new? I can't recall...

According to Yahoo they've been upgraded in regards to CPU (obviously), RAM and HD... so pretty much the same as the MBP's two weeks ago.
Edit: And double layer superdrive too...

I bet they'll ship these before they ship us our 17" C2D MBPs that they waited until the last minute to tell us could not ship due to "high demand" even though they haven't shipped any.
What a horrible company.™

At least you get 40GB of hard drive space now along with your black color for $200.

Isn't the RAM the same? Unless they are putting single chips in as opposed to double to make store bought upgrades simpler.

I love this temporary state of chaos, when you know it's fresh from the table, because only half the site has been updated (MB page itself, press release, store have been updated, but front page, product list page etc. hasn't)
![]() EDIT: And it's that fresh that everything was updated in the time it took me to type that sentence and click 'post'
