How do I connect my Sony Handycam to my MBP?

I have a Sony DCR-HC40 MiniDV Handycam that I'd like to connect to my MBP to transfer home movies into iMovie. What is the best way to do this?

You need a 4 to 6 pin FireWire cable. Sony calls it iLink.
