Mac OS X 10.4.11 Coming Soon?

Apple has seeded yet another build of Mac OS X 10.4.11 to developers this evening. The latest build (8S2146) comes only 5 days after the last seed (8S2144). Apple typically accelerates their seedings prior to release.

Have OSX dot-releases ever come this close together?

Maybe this update Safari's memory leaks will finally disappear. Its annoying how it is always eating up 500MB+ of my RAM.

If it's in WebKit, it's likely to be called a system update but Safari updates rarely come without a system updtae anyway.

Apple have a lot to fix. If it's coming soon, chances are that they haven't fixed it all. I just hope they're aware of the various problems introduced by 10.4.10.

New iMac drivers for the love of all things holy.

Fix the MB airport problems too.

Everything else is gravy to me at this point...

How is it that 10.4.10 had so many issues anyway?

Is it possible that they're not really fixing 10.4.10 issues, but adding "backwards compatability" for 10.5?

Apparently the new "desktop sharing" is giong to work with Tiger. That support must have been added to Tiger at some point, or will be. What other new features require tweeking to Tiger to allow some interaction between the two versions?

Yup, sounds good. However, that alone doesn't warrant a .11, or does it?

bug reporting

It's useless to post bugfix reports here and expecting Apple to have them fixed. You may have more success if you go to http://bugreport.apple.com

I liked the way he worded it. Took a few minutes to get what he was talking about, but it was a good riddle.

Desktop sharing uses Apple Remote Desktop - the client of ARD has been included in MacOS X since 10.3 - just look in your Sharing preferences.
