Apple's Black Friday Promo: Ready. Set. Shop.

Apple sent out promotional emails to customers tonight confirming their plans for a Black Friday sale on November 23.

Quote:
Shopping event is available only at the Apple Online Store on November 23 from 12:01 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. PST and at Apple Retail Stores. Check your local Apple Retail Store for special hours. Sale prices are limited to stock on hand and while supplies last.
Historically, Apple's Black Friday sale discounts have been modest (old price lists). The exact discounts will not officially be announced prior to the sale day.

In Black Friday's past, has this proven a new product indicator?
Regardless, discounts = good.

Not that this thread is very specific anyway, but why aren't all the Apple computers shipping with the new iMac keyboard too? Anyone know what they have done in the past when introducing a new keyboard or mouse??? You think they will switch to the new ones after the next revisions?? Any insight people?

I usually get emails from Apple, but I haven't received one regarding black friday yet. Can anyone post a copy of it on here? I would really appreciate it. Thanks.

If the iPhone sees a discount, there's going to be another big buzz generated...

It would be a smart move for seasonal sales, I have a feeling they're going to do something unexpected, since this year sees the launch of the iPhone / iPod Touch, which is a pretty big leap for Apple...

I'm excited.

I would assume that the items pictured in the promotion to resemble a shopping bag would be indicative of the items that would be on sale this Friday. Unfortunately, I can't see an iPhone in that picture.

I dont care if this is a true holiday or not, but I'm not complaining about the price drops. Hopefully its a bit more then 100bucks but I wish to much.

Last year the German Apple Online Store had a similar promo event running (one day only!). It was not much advertised (as there is no Black Friday shopping frenzy in Germany) - I happened to stumble about it by chance.

I would guess that they will do it again for their loyal European customers, so keep watching the Apple Online Store on and around the 23rd...

Last year they did do an offer in UK (althought might not have been on the same day). A buddy of mine bought a MacBook through the offer and got about 10% off.
