iPod Shuffle - Actually worth nothing!

According to Apple, iPod Shuffle comes with:

iPod Shuffle
Quickstart Guide

We pay $49 for 1gb version

Earphones worth $29 - Link

Dock worth $29 - Link

$29 + $29 = $58

iPod Shuffle worth: -$8

Apple's new ad should be:

I just thought it was kind of weird.

That's a good point, I'd never thought of it like that. It becomes an even better if you get a refurb, which is only $39.
Plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose.

It's not that the shuffle is too cheap, it's more that the separate earphones and dock are too expensive

Every go to a car dealer andbuy a car part? If you bought a Toyota from the Toyota parts depertment and built it yourself it would likely cost $100K

The reason for the high prices for parts both at Apple and Toyota is that customers are willing to pay those prices
