Well figured I'd post the pics now and Yes... it is very orange. Please no haters or flamers :p. I dyed all the parts instead of painting so the orange will not rub or chip off. I colored the keys orange underneath which really brings it all together.

I have to admit that it looks very cool! Please share some instructions or step by step pics. :)

Agreed. I've been thinking of painting my Macbook for some time now, and would be interested in finding out more about how you went about it.

not hating but it does look very splotchy.
Yeah it only turned out "splotchy" on the LCD bezel. I don't know what happened there but it does look pretty cool in person. Only other thing that didn't turn out as planned is the bezel around the USB ports. I think I used one from a 600mhz model which were silver and it turned out more like an orange metallic which you can see it looks a little darker. Other then that, all the parts turned out very even and the same color.

I was also thinking about doing the touchpad but thought the white contrast would look nicer. Thanks for all the compliments/replies. I'd love to do this to a macbook once I get one :D

I also dyed one my batteries cover from a 600mhz which had the clear plastics and looks cool as well. Would be kinda nice to have the clear orange top and bottom cases for it too.

I think it looks really nice. (Although I would have done it in lime green:D) A lot of people will hate because its not white or black but remember apples emac or imac phase whichever it was with the 5 different color computers? Ya reminds me of those days...

He didn't. There's no way to get Leopard on G3s. He's just using ClearDock and the Graphite color scheme, I believe.

Yep no Leopard for me :p. Tiger runs like a champ on this baby. Cleardock is a great app. I only wish that there was an app or hack to get the clear menubar that's on Leopard though :(

Oh and I know that you can't see it clear enough but I have it set up to display the little triangles on the dock to orange... obsession? :D LOL
