Upgrading to 7200 HD will it compromise the baterry life ?

Hi guys im new here 🙂

well i have the aluminum macbook with the standar 160 GB 5400 HD

and im thinking in upgrade that with a Seagate Momentus 7200

soo, how much my battery power will i loose with this upgrade ?,

my battery life last like 3.5 to 5 hours (average tasks)

not much, minimal at best. I went with a Hitachi 320Gb 7200 H.D.D. Speed difference was noticeable, then I added a 4 GB stick of Ram to go with the single 2 GB stick-Incredible. I get just about 3 hours unteathered:apple::apple::apple: BTW, welcome aboard!!!!!!!!!

I think it makes a pretty big difference. most people I know with the same laptop as me and a 7200rpm get about 3hrs of battery life at best. With the stock 5400rpm HD in my 2.4ghz Unibody macbook (late'08) I get at least 4 hours and once got close to 5 hours. This is with WiFi on, screen brightness between 33-50% and browsing. It's a tradeoff although the impact of the 7200rpm on battery life is not as much as it used to be, it still is there.
 
i Found a few hard drives that i found can consume less power thank a 5400 HD
can this be true /??( well they sayd i dont know)
 
go online to tom's hardware guides and he does some benchmarks between some recent 7200 drives and the 5400's. His conclusion was the difference was negligible at best.
