It's going to be interesting to see how it all plays out, no doubt about it.

How does that relate to the MBP? And that could just mean the free digital copy you get with some DVD and Blu-Ray discs. And something like this could be whipped up in Pages in an instant, so what makes you think this is real?

Didn't Jobs say that blu-ray would die quickly along with optical media. I don't think there will ever be a MB with blu-ray

because BR is a "bag of hurt". it wont be in macs for a good 3-4 years, unless you put a third party burner in of course. but even so you wont be able to watch movies unless you use windoze (can burn media to them though)

BluRay LICENSING is a bag of hurt, for anyone that cares about the facts when making statements. I suggest everyone actually go back and watch the Q & A session.

"Basically" saying something is VERY different than saying something, especially when thats not "basically" what he said at all.

a) there are no cheap solutions for slot-loading BR drives.

Straight from El Jobso's mouth at today's notebook keynote: "Blu-ray is just a bag of hurt. It's great to watch the movies, but the licensing of the tech is so complex, we're waiting till things settle down and Blu-ray takes off in the marketplace."
It might be time.

A) there are slot loading drives on the market that arent really that expensive
B) why put the support right in there if its not in the plans?
