i.ve been using the mail app with the http hack to let me use my hotmail account...well, i.ve just changed to a different [still hotmail] address...i went into preferences to change it, and delted the old user, and then put in the new name etc...but now everytime it tries to connect it says 'service unnavailable'...i even tried un-installing the plug-in and reinstalling it...any suggestions?

Delete your Mail preferences? I'm sorry I can't be of more help that that: I don't have a Hotmail account, I'm not familiar with the "http hack."

here.s a different question...how can i delete the entire mail app and then restore it...my powerbook disc doesn't have that on it...any way to do this?

Read down to the 7th post by HexMonkey to delete Mail.
Since you don't have a way to back up Mail by the install CD, maby I or someone else could IM it to you if you wanted. If you have a question for me, IM me (only use AIM, I rarly check my MSN Messenger or ICQ).
