my help finder doesnt work anymore. i think after the june 7 update or after yesterdays iTunes update. anyone else have this problem?

Do you mean the "Help" application in the Finder?

Maybe deleting the prefs could work:
com.apple.help.plist
com.apple.helpui.plist
com.apple.helpviewer.plist

(in <yourhome>/Library/Preferences/)

ops. i meant the help viewer. i deleted those things. still won't work. like, i'd type the simplest thing in that should return results (ie, print) and nothing shows up.

Try deleting the Help Viewer cache folder located at Home/Library/Caches/com.apple.helpui/. Deleting this folder and the files that MacsRgr8 listed has fixed all Help Viewer problems that I have seen.

I have the same problem... just noticed it and came here looking for help. Thanks for starting the thread.

I repaired permissions, ran the three CRON jobs in terminal and deleted the Help plist... none of which worked.

Thanks HexMonkey! Deleting the folder cleared up the problem.

np. thanks hexmonkey, deleting the cache made it work. hmm, do you know why that happens? just curious to try to avoid in the future.
