I know there is another thread, but trying to find all the Aussie's waiting for their 27" QC (i5/i7) is particularly tiresome.

Kicking it off, I ordered mine on the 9th of Nov. It is an i7 with 2TB HDD and 4GB RAM.

Order no is W5755xxxx.
Destination: BNE

Status: Not Yet Shipped.

Any other Aussie's waiting?

Out of curiousity, how long did it take for the full amount to be charged to credit cards? I've had the cost of mine sitting in limbo for the last three days.

Hurry up n process dang it!

iMac Quads - Shipped to Australia

I have spoken to quite a few people.....resellers, apple etc.
And they have all said the same thing (I do like consistency) -

"They have been shipped and are on their way as we speak, arrival next week!"
So depending how long it takes through customs etc.......
I personally think they will be here late next week or early week commencing the 23rd November.

Not long now! .....very exciting indeed.

Yup - ordered my 'stock' i7 on 1/11. Order number is W5750XXXX. Shipment is to Sydney and up until now I've had no movement whatsoever. Still showing the dreaded Ships: November

You might have a better chance getting one sooner if you pre-order through a reseller.
I spoke to a reseller in Sydney and was told they were "looking after" the pre-orders before anyone else.

Just an idea.

hmm... i really wanted to go into the apple store to get mine tho. part of the experience :p

plus, last time I was there and asked an assistant about the lack of a numpad on the keyboard, he said he'd throw one in for free. as in, an extra keyboard, not a replacement

I'm in New Zealand and thinking of getting a Build-to-Order i7 iMac. Does anyone know how long it usually takes (based on previous machines) for customised orders to go from pushing the Submit / Purchase button on the website to the delivery arriving at your door?

I've had vague comments from resellers saying "6 weeks". With Christmas approaching I don't want to order it only to have it sitting on the doorstep / courier van / warehouse.

Everytime ive ordered from the online store its delivered from sydney and taken about 2-3 days to get to my doorstep. BTO would add on a few more days I assume.

I'm waiting for a stock i7 but I have no tracking info since I ordered it from David Jones three days after they were announced. They reckoned it might be a week or so after people got them from Apple. I'm expecting it will be at least another two weeks, just to keep my sanity.
