Your Favorite Bond

Personally I am on the fence between Craig and Connery. Craig is more serious but Connery is classic. I choose Craig but by a close margin.

Craig needs a few more Bond films under his belt but he's got potential. I don't see anyone ever unseating Connery, but Craig should end up being the solid runner-up.

I chose Connery. However, Brosnan is a close 2nd.

I'd don't think Craig is a good Bond. He's "okay" but doesn't fit the character well enough, in my opinion.

I grew up on Roger Moore, so I have a soft spot for the guy. Connery's the man, though, as is Daniel Craig if he keeps it up.

I'm the same way, Roger Moore was the guy whose movies I saw when I was younger.

I liked Dalton as well. Living Daylights might be my favorite one in the bunch, after Moonraker of course. When Bond shows a space shuttle launch before NASA can, you know you've got clout.

Brosnan was a crime against humanity.

I feel sorry for lazenby. Probably one of the most under appreciated Bonds. He wasn't that band and I very much enjoyed OHMSS

Ditto. I like they all, but Moore has always been a favorite of mine.

He was a casualty of the times. 1969 was just a hard time to be successful. So much turmoil in those years. They tried to be classic British cool when that wouldn't work. Look at the next movie, Diamonds are Forever. Connery in 1971 Vegas. What a joke. But a tribute to the times.

Was it an interesting and entertaining story? You bet. Was Lazenby just fine? Yep.

Bad timing.

I prefer Roger Moore, followed by Sean Connery and Pierce Brosnan. Daniel Craig is the worst of all and hasn't deserved to be in the film. The films where he starred were the worst Bond movies ever....

I disagree. Brosnan had only 1 good movie and the others were just boring, (goldeneye), While Craig brought something fresh to the table.

Diamonds are forever...sucked. Have you heard of Never Say Never Again, the unofficial bond movie?

I like them all in one way or another. Well, aside from Brosnan, but that has more to do with the fact that he appeared in my least favourite Bond films.

Moore -- Hilarious. His one-liners are perfect, and his delivery is just priceless.
Connery -- Ultimate cool.
Lazenby -- Very underrated. Actually a very solid Bond.
Dalton -- Also a little underappreciated. He had an intensity about him.
Craig -- Bond as modern man of action. Serves a purpose, and is more fitting for contemporary cinema.

A lot of people don't like a certain Bond actor because they don't like the films he starred in.

Are we going by best Bond films, or most suitable Bond?

Connery was in some really crap Bond films, but suited the role. Same with Brosnan. If you're going to fault Brosnan for the bad Bond films he starred in, you should probably say the same of Connery. Neither of them write the script.

And Golden-Eye is probably one of my top 3 Bond films, where Brosnan played Bond.

The only Bond actor that didn't suit the role was Daniel Craig, but I think Casino Royale was my favourite Bond film. I know......confusing.

Well said, I simply have to agree. Sean Connery is the "real" Bond as he acted in the first Bond films but Pierce Brosnan were in the first Bond films I saw so I somehow have the opinion that he's the "real" bond and well, he suited that role very well. I overall dislike old movies for some reason and find some old Bonds being even ridiculous (one channel here plays one Bond per week, has done that like 10 years so getting bored of them).

Craig is so different from Brosnan while Connery and Brosnan have some same look IMO. Casino Royal is the best Bond anyway, even though Craig is playing the Bond. Once you've seen one Bond, you know the drill, it's the same in every film with couple minor differences. They could basically use the same script and just change the name of the bad guy and the location and they would have a new film

You have to remember that Craig is playing a different character to the rest, he is a Bond who is new to the job. He's only just become a 00 and so he's cocky and arrogant, instead of being chilled out and smooth like the older bonds. I think Craig does this very well.

And I agree with others above me, Golden Eye is my favourite Bond movie.

Connery. I don't care for 007 in general, but Sean really typified the role. He introduced it and made it timeless and classic, all in one. That's a rare thing.

Brosnan was just too... too... soap opera-y.

I grew up with Roger Moore as Bond, so for me he became the yardstick, so to speak.

I love Sean Connery as an actor, but his portrayal of Bond is noticeably different from Moore's, I like him as Bond but I can't get behind the common notion that he's the "classic" Bond because he was not my first exposure to the character.

Everything between Connery and Craig is clutter on the shelf, Rodger Moore was always too smarmy for my liking. When he is in a film you want the bad guys to win

Sean Connery was enough of a hard man to be convincing. I still fall for his treat em mean, keep em keen ethos, even though in reality I would want to slap him.

Him walking out of the surf in those swimming trunks ... amazing, even though it goes against every feminist, independent thought I should have.

Who said that lust has to be logical!
