Is there a way to?
I figured that i'd OC the i3 3.2ghz up to about 3.6 and save the money, since I hear they are the same chips with different multipliers

There are no software overclocks for Mac. And hardware overclock would be difficult if it is even possible.

The multiplier is locked, you can't overclock it. It would require you to overclock the base frequency which is a lot riskier and impossible in Macs due the lack of BIOS/open EFI.

if you want performance like that, just build a PC/hackintosh for half the price and be done with it 😀
