1GB enough???

    I am the new proud owner of a 1GB iPod Shuffle....My question is... How many albusm can i fit into 1GB assuming the Almbum is 18 tracks? maybe 30? or 20? Thanks.:apple:

    depending on how you encode determines the amt.

    i usually due 160aac and get i like 200-250 songs per gig. just a ballpark figure

    It depends massively on the quality you import at...

    Well, it depends on the length of each track, and the bitrate (quality). Apple claims the Shuffle's capacity is about 240 songs at 4 minutes each using 128 kbps AAC encoding - so assuming 18 tracks per album, you would be able to fit about 13 albums (using Apple's default settings).

    You could get 30 albums on there but you would have to encode at a much lower bitrate like 60-80 kbps, which would be atrocious. But yes it is possible to fit 30 albums on the Shuffle
