Hi guys,

I've recently purchased a new Blackbook three days ago and am very pleased about it. So far everything is fine except when I run coconut Battery. Are the readings a 100% correct cause it says it's 2 months old!

Also, the battery will only charge up to 98% instead of a 100 when I plug the power adapter in.

Is this normal? If not, I am going to return it.

Thanks!

Did you calibrate the battery? (Run it down until the computer goes to sleep, and then charge it to full) Might explain the inaccuracy of the battery life meter.

About the age of the battery; was probably manufactured 2 months ago.

No, I haven't calibrated the battery yet. I've read the apple article on it but how will it help the battery?

So does that mean I have nothing to worry about?

Calibrating the battery makes the charge meter more accurate and helps the intelligent electronics inside get tuned to your battery.

I don't think you have anything to worry about (as long as you calibrate your battery).
