hey,

i was connecting my iPod to my mac yesterday and instead of mounting on the desktop it goes into disk mode and also when i unplug it and try to use it a folder appears on the screen with an triangle beside it.

Any tips?? Is it fixable and what are my options.

Try rebooting the ipod, then plug it in... sometimes letting all the juice drain then charging fixes oddities. Try a erase and reinstall of iPod software, or simply update the software. 3G is getting old, it could be the logic board is on its way out.

thanks for the help anyway tried all the usual ways to fix it, seems to be that the hard drive is messed up and needs replacing so im gunna get a new one instead since apple will charge me at least $100 just to fix it.
