Today I finished a WU and was all excited that I could install mc68k's new SP folding script.

And what's the first thing I get?

Oh good. Yet another 70 pointer. The last one I had took me roughly two and a half weeks even though I'm on a G4 iMac. Sigh.

I know the feeling. Just recently I finished a 73-point protein, only to be given the same one back again for crunching. I suppose I can be grateful though that it wasn't one of the 143-pointers!

At least this will give your points a nice little boost, two and half weeks from now ;)

Ha, I haven't gotten one of those in a while. So does anyone know how or why you're given a particular protein or is it all random...

D

I know the feeling...last week put me back quite a lot. I was +32 at the begining of the week, now I'm +8. :(

The points after will be nice, it'll just take a while to get them. ;)

Actually, building off of dukestreet's question, I'd also like to know if there is any reason why I get the proteins that I do. My last three consisted of a 70 pointer, a 50, a nice-and-easy 23, and now back to a 70.

Even though my computer is folding, it feels like it's just sitting there.

Here we go - thanks to the folding progress monitor, I'll be done on May 17 at around 11:00 AM. Of course, that's assuming I do NOTHING productive with my computer...

I'm sure that date will change once I start using Dreamweaver and Fireworks (on a side note) for my eMate website which may very well be neither finished nor posted by lack of time.

Jeez, May 17 is the day of my last final. It seemed so far away until now.

My new 2 Ghz AMD Athlon does the 70 pointers in about 1 and a half days! I love that thing. I just wish I was running OS X on it. Oh well, maybe one day.............
