I posted a painting I did on an art forum and asked for advice.
Some "helpful" person put it through photoshop and came up with an interesting look. I asked this person to tell me how he did it. No luck.

I have photoshop 5.5 and haven't seen this filter.
Could someone enlighten me because this person hasn't answered me back.
I am dying to know!

Brenda

I'd guess the Spatter filter (in CS), although the very poor quality of the JPG compression makes it hard to say for sure.

He told me, at last, that he has photoshop 7 but told me to just play around.
I have 5.5 but this is much more than a smudge.

I don't have Spatter.

Can one just buy a filter to add to Photoshop 5.5? I probably know the answer but am just wondering.

And thanks to the previous poster who said my painint looked better before.

ANyone know a good source for buying photoshop 7 upgrade?

i remember reading in a thread posted awhile ago that you were a teacher (?) and if you are or are a student, gradware.com or studica.com have great prices on software for students/teachers.
