I most definitely do not want a touchscreen keyboard. Losing tactile feedback would be quite a big loss IMO and even the iPad has autocorrect built in which to me, suggests that the typing experience is not perfect by Apple's standards.

I think a touchscreen trackpad like in the Razer Blade would be a happy medium. The Apple trackpad's are generously sized so you could do quite a bit with that space.

I agree with not wanting a touch screen keyboard (but would be nice to be able to repurpose the space as needed, such as a second screen or extending the first screens real estate when using an external keyboard, mimic a mixer while doing music or video production, etc. I can see the usefulness in that.

I don't agree regarding the autocorrect and autocomplete, as now even OS X has it as well. I think this fact speaks more to the fact of our quality of education and that we have become lazier and dumbed down in our correct grammar and spelling usage. With the introduction of spell and grammar check within the word processors years ago, it seems the need to focus on it in school has been greatly reduced (and my wife is a teacher and I see it first hand everyday, as grammar and spelling take a backseat to a lot of other teaching ideals these days. We both feel it is a travesty!).

You may be right about the grammar and spelling but if I'm not mistaken, iOS has autocorrect on by default whereas OSX does not. I've had mine the way it is for so long I can't be sure anymore. For me, autocorrect fixes the typos I make from typing on tiny screen with no feedback, that's what I need it for.
