iPod A little help for this problem?

The Setup
17" iMac with all media on it.
MPB with no media on it.
250Gb HD with a full back up of the iMac on it.


I'm going home for a week from uni and I'm taking my MBP and my HD. How do I set it up so I can access all of my iTunes folder on my external HD without copying it to my MBP?


It'll only be for a week but I don't really want to take my iMac home with me for something that can probably be solved.

Just tell iTunes to look for your music library on the external drive. Is there any reason that just plugging the external into the MBP wouldn't work?

Yea, just go to iTunes preferences -> Advanced -> iTunes Music Folder Location, and change it to the iTunes folder in your home folder on your ext. HD.
