Accesing iPhone root folder through USB

    Any ideas? I am at uni and cannot use the network connection to ftp. Windows has iPhone tunnel suite, any mac alternative? We can't have windows offering more compatibility than a mac on an Apple product!! Can we?

    Try Diskaid. Works fairly well...only thing is you can't change file permissions with this app. Even though their website said no jailbreaking required, it is still needed to see the root folder.

    EDIT: looks like Greyelm beats me to it. :)

    With BossPrefs you can fix user dir permissions. It helped when mail wouldn't work after an pwned upgrade.

    Can you use total commander for this?

    If you are using your own computer to do this, you don't have to have an actual Wi-Fi router to do this wirelessly.

    Just create an ad-hoc network, and connect to your device by connecting it to that temporary network that you just created.
