Me and 2 of my buddies have a bunch of classes together. My friend and I both have Macbook Pro's and my other buddy has a windows laptop with XP on it.

Is there any way for us all to set up an ad-hoc network and chat?

Maybe not all of us, but can atleast me and my buddy with the mac do it?

It woudl be great if we could chat in between us giving lectures.

Any help would be great. Any other ideas on fun things that can be done by setting up a computer-to-computer network are welcome.

You and your Apple-using mate can do it by clicking on the AirPort menu icon, Create Network, and filling the blanks there, and using Bonjour in iChat. This allows you to chat over a network. Your PC buddy will feel a bit left out, though...
