AFAIK a 3rd party handles the ads so no, we don't have control over them. Arn can report annoying ads to be removed though, I think.

One banner ad I've noticed recently, here and on gizmodo, has a nice big blue arrow pointing right
I've clicked it a few times thinking it was the next page of the forum! Don!
