Not much I can say here, but my 2012 mini was a horror until I put an 850 evo 256 ssd in. It went from endless beach balls to no beach balls and apps open almost instantly. I still have 4gb memory and will probably upgrade a little later on, but really it's the hard drive that matters. Yosemite runs like crap on a spinner.
