Howdy all!

I have a MAC MINI 1.83/2X512/80/COMBO/AP/BT-USA (MB138LL/A - March 2009).

Just died spontaneously and was unable to power up. Tried resetting PMU etc.

Took it into the apple store and they said it needs to have the logic board replaced ($190).

My question is... I don't really care too much about this machine to spend this money on it and am willing to delve deeper into repairing the hardware at the risk of destroying it, but I don't know where to begin.. seems like all threads after the PMU reset lead to 'take to Apple store'.

It's in very good shape physically.. seems to me there might be something simple inside that apple doesn't have the time for like repairing the logic board in some way. I guess if there are no other avenues for repair, I'll just part it out on ebay.

Thanks in advance, Jon
