Ok, after the 10.4.9 update iChat wasn't signing on to AOL. I figured it was something wrong with iChat after the update, but I can't sign on AIM with Adium, or AIM for Mac. That should mean an AOL server problem on their end, right?

Anyone know if AIM died or something?

Right after updating to 10.4.9... iChat connected to AIM without issues; Adium connected to AIM, MSN, Yahoo, and Google Talk without issues.

And promptly displayed a spam IM from a Yahoo bot. I realize not being on IM much recently has been nice.

Oh, and it happened for me after installing Security Update 2007-002 a few weeks before I installed OS 10.4.9.

Happened to me once, though not this time.

Got to iChat Preferences -> Accounts -> Your AIM account -> Server Settings: And make sure that the port is set to "443".

For some reason this got changed for me. Try making sure it's set to that.
