According to the company's specs it should work, but note that none of these products are approved or authorized by Apple, which does not license Magsafe. I think PWR+ splices a cable from an Apple product in order to make it work. There is another company that sells a kit to do the same.

The higher the watts the better. The laptop will only draw what it needs so the bigger pool you have to draw from the better. Watts don't get forced into the machine like voltage does. That's the number that needs to match.

The voltages for the Pwr+ car DC adapters have very different voltages:

85W:
18.5V 4.6A 85 Watt

45W:
14.5V 3.1A 45W

Will the MBA be okay with the much higher 18.5 V?
