I have a Mac Pro with a fresh install of El Capitan and I have noticed that there's an app that opens and closes again at random times (it seems like it happens right after I boot up or wake the machine from sleep but I'm not 100% sure). The icon flashes so quickly in the Dock that I'm unable to identify which app it is.

Is there some log I can check to see which apps that have been opened recently?

Update: It seems to be the Bluetooth Setup Assistant.

Make a note of the time on the clock when you see the app flash, then check the logs found in:

/Applications/Utilities/Console.app
