Hi all,

Quick question for you.

I've been having a problem with a social network app. I went on to their website to try and find some sort of contact details for the developer and I noticed in their "Privacy Policy" section is states:

"In order to gain use of our services with your iPhone, iPod touch or iPad, we must collect your Unique Device Identifier or “UDID”. The UDID is a special type of identifier that uniquely identifies your device and is used in software applications for providing an unique reference number for applications like those used by your mobile device. We will not disclose or share your UDID to other parties."

Is this still allowed by Apple's App Store guidelines? I'm pretty sure that collecting UDID's was stopped a couple of years ago. Or have Apple changed their policy again?

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks. :)
