It should read: "Apple Files Patent Application for 'Smart Dock' with Voice Recognition for Devices"

so. cal
This could also be a foundation technology that Apple could use to interface several components and industries simultaneously. Apple would be very smart to do just that.

yup, I guess it is. not that interesting like iOS in the car, unless I got a new car.

have you never heard of aftermarket head units? aka, car stereos?

If Apple create iOS in the car head units I will certainly get one. Probably cost £200 but worth it.

200 wouldn't be high. have you seen the prices of the current iOS-enabled aftermarket head units? AppRadio, etc..

Would be cool for my apartment. Sort of like the computer on star trek. Always ready to answer questions hands free.

application yes...

This make more sense...

But a dock ?? we already talk to our phones.... This is only taking it to the next level, basically relying on voice, because we're all to lazy to do anything anymore...

Give me the old school days any-day where you emailed someone, instead of using your voice (and taking the other 30mins to make corrections, since its not perfect)..

Neither is your typing, but at least you KNOW.

The dick may still be good for "Charging", but unless the phone can fly in the air, and you don't have to manually put it in the dock :p

Can it make coffee for me too ? Come on Apple,, make me more lazy ... lol.

As "cool" as these voice crap-ola is. we won't ever be able to rely 100% on it, since it will never be perfect with all accents, and mumbled voices...

I still need to go back to this :- http://dotsub.com/view/6c5d7514-5656-476a-9504-07dd4e2f6509

Yes, I know about 3rd party head unit, the problem is. Is there any head unit that is "ios in the car" compatible with siri integration and everything ?, not ipod compatible which we know that has become the standard.
