Get Orca.msi
http://www.technipages.com/downloads/OrcaMSI.zip

Open BootCamp.msi with Orca
Look for LaunchCondition and delete first 2 lines, "Privilege.. and Require Windows 7...", something like that.
Save it and you're good to go. (Don't launch Setup.exe, just open BootCamp.msi)

Confusion here ... I think Shirasaki asked for a direct BootCamp 6 for Windows download link, executable under Windows ( and using this utility ). No pkg file for OSX. Very helpful, though. Thank you !

Finally, file has been uploaded. However, this is an RAR file, which means users may need an RAR utility to UnRAR it (I have no password set for this archive, though).

I will then try to upload Apple's stuff: a Self-Extracted archive, in case some users don't even want to install trial version of WinRAR.

(If SharePoint works, things should've been done hours before.)

Here is the download link. I did not test anything, I just download the file ATM for further installation.

https://onedrive.live.com/redir?resid=DFB3F9B9EC94DC6A!691&authkey=!AA_PjYRk_8i9azI&ithint=folder,rar

7-zip is freeware and should be able to unRAR the file <-- it is able to. 7z920-x64 is the 7-zip utility.

I WILL KEEP THIS LINK ACTIVE FOR QUITE A WHILE. NO REASON TO HURRY.

Many thanks to Shirasaki, who made this possible !!!

As of May 2nd, 2016 the download link is no more working. I deleted the files on OneDrive.

Update: Self-Extract Archive has been uploaded. If users don't want to use RAR package, use that exe package instead.

However, this will execute all predefined scripts written by apple, and it is possible to mess up exisiting things. Use at your own risk.

I unRAR'ed the RAR file and can see every single driver. Matching and updated W10 drivers for my MBP 7.1 seem to be there. Perfect. Now I can start to investigate and install. :)

You would only need to download that rar file because that file contains everything necessary, except some scripts designed for simple installation.

ah thanks, i thought the rar file was the .exe but rarred, now i understand, thanks.

Have now got everything installed perfectly! Just had to modify the bootcamp.msi with Orca to remove the launch conditions, then ran it and everything updated. Thanks for the upload again.

There's nothing special in there if your computer is already running fine with the drivers in Boot camp 5.1. It's for people with some hardware features that are new.

Even without BC Windows includes drivers for nearly all your hardware. For me I only needed the driver for Apple Keyboard and Magic Mouse. And the start up disk panel. Bootcamp 6 has no benefit for me.

What msi in the boot camp drivers is for the startup disk panel? Also do you know which ones is for the HFS file system, so it can see the Mac partition?

I clean installed windows 10 on my iMac and didn't install the full boot camp drivers because windows 10 already installed pretty much anything I already needed.

I did manually install the apple keyboard msi, but wasn't sure which ones as for the startup disk.

Also I noticed in device manager it shows that it doesn't have the driver for the coprocessor. But it doesn't seem I really need it since windows is running fine.

I'll check when I go home but maybe someone will help you before that

I am sad that apple isn't supporting Wimdows 10 on my 2011 iMac. I did install windows 7 and upgraded it, but I had a bad driver issue (constant reboot on startup, could not fix even in safe mode) that forced me to delete the entire windows OS.

(I have no idea if it was the bootcamp drivers, the drivers I installed trying to get the Xbox 360 wireless Xbox 360 adapter control panel (so I could turn the controller off when not in use), or the caldiget thunderbolt station drivers.)

I will wait awhile before I try to install bootcamp again, hopefully someone with more knowledge will write a faq so I can install only the necessary apple drivers (like keyboard) without win 7 old video drivers or stuff that might lead to startup problems.

I've had Windows 10 installed for a couple weeks now and everything was fine for the most part. I updated Boot Camp using Apple Software update inside Windows and now my resolution is all jacked up, everything is tiny. I have a mid 2015 15" rMBP. Anyone else seeing this issue?

It's a Windows feature. You have to go to the display properties and use the 200% setting to scale the interface to retina resolution.

Do you have any more information on this, has it been discussed already? Do you have a link?
Numerous people setting up Boot Camp have reported it for 2-3 years. Google 'bootcamp retina resolution mac' etc

http://arstechnica.com/apple/2015/04/using-the-retina-macbook-as-a-windows-pc/

'The first time you boot to the Windows desktop after everything is installed, you’ll notice that everything onscreen is too small—for whatever reason, the automatic screen detection and UI scaling that happens on Windows PCs doesn’t happen here. It’s not a difficult problem to fix, though. Just right-click the desktop, go to Screen Resolution, click "make text and other items larger or smaller," and choose a scaling option you find comfortable. The 150 percent scaling level looked the best to our eyes, though some of you will probably be able to get by at 125 percent, too.'

Yeah I just read that after I asked. The issue is that everything was fine with the resolution before I updated to Boot Camp 6.

Yes I know where they are at, I was referring to what MSI file in that folder is what I am looking for.

I do not intend on installing all of bootcamp drivers because they are not needed, I just need a select few to install manually.

You can install all and then delete the ones you don't need from Programs and features control panel.

Wow, this is a pleasant surprise! Took Apple only what 13-14 days to get it out. Installing now on my 2015 rMBP which I upgraded to W10 using BC5.1 drivers. Hopefully everything continues to work and better.

There seems to be a new option to turn off Keyboard backlight that wasn't there before. Apart from that everything seems the same.
