here
I'll happily be a guinea pig for updating OTA. I've got an iPhone 6 on T-Mobile.

EDIT: Worked just fine. Awesome.

I think I'll wait until I see tomorrow's MR article titled "iOS 8.0.2 causes iPhones to burst into flames, 8.0.3 in the works"

Well this is fast

Not really. The bug wasn't in the update. It was in the OTA patching process. It likely took very little to fix the script. This is why none of the carriers found the issue because they probably only send them the full update package not an OTA.

As always, back up your phone before updating to iOS 8.0.2, if somethings wrong, back up is our hope!

Yeah, I don't trust Apple's QA, but if one or two anonymous MR posters says its good that's enough for me.

I know you're trying to be sarcastic but it's true. Maybe ridiculous (pathetic?) but anonymous reports on a web forum seem to trounce highly paid Apple QA.

Don't see why they wouldn't test the OTA given that it's one of the main ways most update.

I will install iOS 8... but in July, just as I did with 7, I installed last august.

Seems fine on my iPhone 6.

iPad OTA still only offers the 8.0.1 which it had already downloaded (but not installed). Attempting to install it (and being denied as expected) does not update the download option. Will give it time in hopes that this is not another stubbed toe for Apple and ends up requiring iTunes.

Yeah, that is all on Apple though. Very rarely does the patching process fail. But to send it out without testing it was inexcusable.
