I feel the same way about Safari, there are some questionable ergonomics.

It's actually why I decided to use a browser as an experiment for something to vibe code. There are a few things I'd see Safari without and with, personally, privately. So I just got my own thing going. It's a much more natural browsing experience now.

In the screenshot I posted, you can hardly see the text on any of the tabs. That’s just crappy design. The Safari chrome should not change based on the background of the website. It should be a color where text and controls can easily be seen.

Wonder if that’s intentional or the same light-backing in dark-mode bug Apple never bothered to fix in ‘OS26 Safari.

Anyone who has used MacOS 27 or iPadOS 27 knows your screenshot is a beta bug. WWDC specifically called this design feature out as well.

I don’t think it’s a beta bug because I had similar issues with iOS 26.

I do use dark mode. And yes I had these problems with iOS 26. Seems they’ve carried over to 27.

Is that on the iPad? I just checked on my iPhone 14 and MacBook Pro, and neither are doing that.

Took around 24 hours to start happening but this isn’t fixed in Dev Beta 5 released yesterday.

It looks like they fixed it somewhat with the latest beta. Still not great though. The address and tab bar should be solid with no background content showing through (even heavily blurred).

Regardless of how we (you, me & everyone else) feel about Liquid Glass, iOS 27 has a more cramped "window of operation" than the previous iOS.

You (not me) may (can) argue it looks better aesthetically, but that has so far come at the cost of less space for the stuff you’re supposed to be looking at.

To me, it’s a more cramped feel, but one that doesn’t give me anything else in return. Things I need are not closer to my finger, it’s not easier to press the things I need and it doesn’t become quicker to do the things I need.

Granted, way way snappier and 28 is reportedly WAY faster. But, that’s processing speed, not how to do the things you need to do on the screen faster.

I THINK the IDEA of the see-throughness IS that it’s going to feel…"bigger"? That you’re holding an…infinite display of sorts. But my brain at least blows a fuse with things moving underneath the thing I’m looking at.
