I see Apple has cryptic session names again. I'm curious how developers plan for this as I'm guessing the sessions aren't announced until the night before or day of?

The shape is a rounded square.
WWDC is a developer conference.
Developers make apps.
On iOS, app icons are masked to rounded squares.
Apple also makes other products which are rounded squares.

Don't read too much into it.

This could be an app store for the Apple TV finally.

I see the Apple TV at the centre, the other squares on their side round the outside as other Apple TVs. The circles round the outside are other Apple devices. And the concentric circles in the middle are wi-fi fields overlapping each other.

It says the names will be announced after the keynote when you press the events. I like how watchOS is now a filter, as you can see it will be part of "HomeKit", and "ResearchKit"

Or maybe they just used iOS and Watch OS app icon shapes because it's a developer conference.

Am I the only person who doesn't really care about "Beats" at all?

I know some folks are excited about it, but I am decidedly apathetic.

Apple TV, on the other hand? Thrilled!

That's exactly what it is and the logo kind of makes it obvious.

The "Epicenter of Change" just refers to the way consumers watch TV.

WWDC 2013: Where a whole new world is developing.
  • iOS 7
  • OS X Mavericks
  • MacBook Air
  • AirPort Extreme and AirPort Time Capsule
  • Mac Pro

WWDC 2014: Write the code. Change the world.
  • iOS 8
  • OS X Yosemite
  • Swift

WWDC 2015: The epicenter of change.
  • iOS 9
  • OS X 10.11
  • Probably other things, but not directly related to the tagline

The taglines always refer to change, but they're talking about developers changing things.

You are correct but let me remind you there are people behind those TV services that write code.

At the Recode conference Jeff Williams just said developers will get a preview of the native Watch SDK with native apps available in the fall. Williams also said fitness apps would have direct access to sensors and 3rd party apps will be able to use the digital crown.

Keep your attitude at the door thanks :)

Yep it's obvious but not everyone might have noticed that so I said.

I'm sure most people that visit this site are Apple enthusiasts and just about everybody can easily tell that's the shape of an TV and an easy giveaway there will be some type of TV announcement coming up.
