Currently I have my Speakers set up so that the (physical) right channel is to the left of me an vice versa.
That is because of Cable Management.

When I connect the MacBook at home i swap the channels in 'Audio MIDI Setup'. But if i want to put on headphones I have to switch it back.

So here is my question: Could any of you nice people write me an AppleScript that I can put in the dock and takes care of the switching?

You don't have to make one for me, just if you feel like it.

in 'Audio MIDI Setup' i click on 'Configure Speakers'. Then there comes a new dialogue and there you see: Left Front (1) ; Right Front (2). simply swap out the numbers and you got your channels swapped.
