ATV2 Shipped Firmware

Was looking for a discussion on this to no avail. Did anyone else check their running firmware? Mine show's 4.0 in the about page. Clicking on software update says that my ATV2 is already running the latest version.

I noticed that 4.1 is available for the ATV2 on the internet. Anyone else seeing the same thing as me? I need to track down a micro b usb cable to restore the 4.1 firmware to see if there are any bug fixes between the two firmware releases.

A member in another thread posted that it finds the latest firmware if you perform a factory reset.

You have the latest firmware. What you are looking at is the software version. Those are two different things. I believe if you just leave it selected on the software version, it will scroll to the left and show you that you have 4.1.

That was me, but it was a mistake. The software version remains at 4.0

Software version is not the same as Firmware version.

AppleTV is shipping with Firmware iOS 4.1, the software is 4.0 (with I think is the version of the actual App lowtide.app)
