Hi. I have an iMac running the latest os and I use Logic Pro as my DAW. I run two independent audio interface, M-Audio fast track pro and a Zoom R16. My problem is that if I start the interface while the mac is already started up the mac crashes and restarts. This happens with both interfaces. If I turn the interfaces on first and then the mac, this doesn't happen.

Any ideas?

Brad

Do these audio interface have drivers installed?

As for good brands to get, Presonus is one of them My years-old Presonus Firebox just died, out of warranty. Presonus will repair out of warranty gear for a flat rate fee. About two day turn around for me.

So, when you are shopping look for (1) No drivers required, the box needs to be "class compliant" and (2) Very good customer service.
