just ordered my new 2.0GHz G5 20inch iMac. (wOOt!)

question- is there an audio out port on the back? or will i need to get speakers that use a headphone jack?

which sound better? ones that use the headphone jack or ones thats use audio out?

yikes... turned out to be a lot of questions... thanks for the help in advance!!

Most computer speakers use a 3.5mm (sorry, not sure what the equivalent term in the US) stereo jack which is the same size as a headphone jack. (Unless it's different on macs as I've never had one before!)

I believe the audio port on the imac is also digital out

If you don't mind spending money, and want really good sound, i would recommend getting a usb audio interface. I've got one, and I run its 1/4 inch outputs to my stereo. I was driven by the need for inputs for garageband, but it sounds great coming out too.
